How to Reduce Image Size to 100 KB Without Losing Quality
Online forms often reject photos over 100 KB. Here’s how to hit the limit in under a minute while keeping your image sharp.
Learn how to merge multiple PDFs into a single document on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android, for free and without uploading your files.
Whether you are applying for a job, submitting an expense claim or sending a signed contract with its appendices, one tidy PDF is far easier for the recipient than a pile of separate attachments. Many upload forms only accept a single file anyway.
This guide shows the quickest way to combine PDF files on any device, plus a few tips for getting the page order and file size right.
You don’t need Adobe Acrobat or any paid software. Our free Merge PDF tool works in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone:
application-jane-doe.pdf.Unlike many online PDF services, the merging happens on your own device, so your documents are never uploaded. That makes it suitable for confidential files such as contracts, bank statements and medical records.
Often some of the pages you need are photos rather than PDFs: a picture of a receipt, a scanned ID card or a signed page photographed with your phone. Convert these first:
Open the first PDF in Preview, choose View → Thumbnails, then drag other PDF files into the thumbnail sidebar where you want them. Use File → Export as PDF to save the combined file.
Windows doesn’t include a built-in PDF merger. You can use a browser-based tool like ours, or a desktop PDF editor if you already own one.
In the Files app, select several PDFs, tap the More (…) button and choose Create PDF. For more control over the order, use a browser-based merger.
01-cover-letter.pdf, 02-cv.pdf, 03-certificates.pdf. They will appear in the right order straight away.No. Pages are copied into the new file without being re-compressed, so text remains selectable and images keep their resolution.
Our tool has no fixed limit. Very large documents are limited only by your device’s memory.
The current tool merges whole files. A page-picking tool is on our roadmap; until then, you can split out the pages you need first and then merge them.
